Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) Department with a high emphasis on recruitment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
oCollaborate with departmental managers to post positions, recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for all open positions.
oSource candidates, keeps accurate and timely records and prepare reports regarding recruitment, interviews, and hires.
oWork collaboratively with the Pawnee Gaming Commission for new hire licensing, conducts preliminary background checks, retrieves/forward documentation and communicate licensing appointments in a timely manner.
oImplement and conduct new hire onboarding, orientation, and assist with employee retention/recognition programs.
oHandle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
oManage internal transfer process.
oMaintain personnel files in an organized manner.
oOrder and distribution of employee uniforms.
oManages employee referral recruitment program.
oServes as a back up to the Sr.
Accountant for Payroll functions including payroll processing and posting.
oAssists with employee benefits, open enrollment, collecting information and communication as needed by the HR Coordinator.
oMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
oMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
oPerforms other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
oHigh school diploma or general educational degree required.
oAt least two (2) years of human resource experience required.
oHR certification from an accredited institution/organization preferred.
